Hello guys im in the market for a new gaming headset and after a look around youtube and review sites ive seen 2 headsets that really caught my eye, SteelSeries Siberia V2 and the Razer Megaladon. My main concerns with headsets are comfortability, good positional sound as i love FPS games and reliability. Does anyone have opinions on these headsets? is there better options out there in the same price bracket? Are these headphones just poo and should be avoided?

I know first hand with the razer headset. The sound is great but mic quality is suspect. I actually bought a separate mic because i didn't like the Megaladon's quality. It's shallow and is usually very quiet.

Multiple friends of mine have the Steelseries and I have tested them out. They're great! awesome sound quality, booming bass, SUPER comfortable (more so than the razer) and they're quite a bit cheaper.

Check this website out for some helpful reviews. Overall though, they are both great products and are similar in many ways.

all good i found the difference between them. after extensive looking at reviews and youtube videos im really loving the siberia v2 headset. the looks, the sound quality, everyone highly recommends it. is there any other headsets in this price bracket that are as good and as highly regarded?

The Siberia V2 is good, Razer has good sound but the mic can be sketchy on some models. I haven't tried the Megalodon but have a Tiamat and like it almost as much as the Turtle Beach line. I know some don't like the Turtle Beach but I'm totally sold on them.

Here's a review of the Tiamat http://earforcex41.com/razer-tiamat-7-1-review/
And one of the Siberia http://earforcex41.com/steel-series-siberia-v2-headset/

If you are wanting top of the line in this price range, I would go with the XP Seven http://earforcex41.com/turtle-beach-xp-seven-review/
