I bought a custom-built machine 2 years ago with the following specs:
3.20 gigahertz Intel Core i5 650
ASUS P7H55-M Rev X.0x Motherboard
4GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series
Philips 202EL monitor with 1600 x 900 resolution
Windows 7 Ultimate
500W Power supply

I would like to upgrade my graphic card for games such as Dota 2 and Diablo 3 (potentially newer games as well) because the current one is just terrible. I don't know much about computers and the compatibility between parts but I happen to find clearance sales on Asus, Gigabyte, MSI 7770 cards here in Melbourne Australia.
ASUS 1GB 7770 PCI-E VGA Card ($99)
MSI R7770POWERE1GD5OC 1GB DDR5 7770 OC PCI-E VGA Card ($70)
MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 1G DDR5 7770 PCI-E VGA CARD ($75)
Gigabyte GV-R777OC-1GD 1GB 7770 PCI-E VGA Card ($79)

I was told that Asus GFC aren't as good as the other two brands, how true is this? Which one should I go for if I do not intend to overclock?
Would the 7770 be an overkill? What other models should I also be looking at?

Thanks!

Adrian

Solution
I second the 7770GHz.
As for brands Asus is the second best maker for AMD, following close behind Sapphire.
Msi and Gigabyte are alright, but not as good as Asus and Sapphire.

Asus is a classic brand. I owned many of them thru the years ( Yes i'm over 40 ) no problems....
I would consider a 7770 or gtx 550ti minimum gaming cards....whatever the brand.
