Question Choosing a new graphics card

I have the GTX 1060 6GB GPU, Ryzen 5 1600 CPU, 16Gb of Anarchy X RAM, Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD and I'm looking for a new upgrade for my PC. I have been looking at the RTX 2070 as my upgrade, do you think this is a good Idea or should I go another way? If you do think this is a good step what Version of the RTX 2070 Should i get, Black Edition, XC Gaming etc.?
