I currently have the Macbook air 2015 edition, I am looking to get a new laptop. My University isn't very big on Apple, and they reccomend having a Windows laptop. So therefore I am going to be switching over

The tricky part here is that i want a laptop that is functional for doing homework, taking notes, and i can carry it around in my backpack for class. I also want one that will be able to run video games such as CSGO. i know it's not a very demanding game, but i guess the best bang for my buck is what I am looking for here

I am trying to stay around/under $1000 dollars.

Thanks.

Depending on what would be your main use of the laptop:

Gaming: go with the asus as it has the 1060
Workstation, for example, coding or running VMs, go with the dell, as it has a higher performance CPU and SSD.

In my opinion, both are great laptops, just choose the one which suits better with your usage.

Best regards
