A Geforce 4 TI4200 or ti4600 is way better than any radeon EXCEPT the 9700 series and maybe the 9500 series (I am not sure on the latter but I am sure on the former) The reason the MX4?? Sucks if because it is just an overclocked GF2 not related to the GF4 at all. The ONLY things it has in commen with a proper geforce 4 is the name and the company it is made by. Other than that they are completly diferent. I would recommand a GF4 ti4200 or ti4600 for you. It will serve you good. And both are better performers than the 8500 or 9000. Oh and BTW the 9000 is slightly slower than the 8500 but also it is cheaper and newer technology on it. But the 8500 does come out on top performance wise compared to the 9000.
My 2 cents.

Problem i got is will all the nvidia card cause me the same problem this mx does, and that is restart my computer when im playing games, maybe there is a conflict with windows xp home edition or something

1ghz anthlon
526 ram
geforce 4 mx 440
sound blaster audigy gamer
let me know if there is anything else someone might need to know im not sure what to place for specs

If thats your price range, DONT get a Geforce4. Definately get the 9500 Pro. (avoid the non-pro version) Its faster than the Geforce4 4600 and is only 200 retail. You can find it for like 175 online. Also look into the 9700 non-pro, but i think its too much.

9500pro 9500pro 9500pro 9500pro! get it~ Like squints said, dont get the geforce4 if you can afford better.

I bet its not your current videocard thats giving you your problems right now either, so dont be surprised if you get them again =P

Get Radeon 9500 Pro BBA
