I've being comparing a couple of monitors for a couple of days and I have narrowed it down to 2 specific ones.

The AOC U3277PWQU http://eu.aoc.com/en/business/products/u3277pwqu/specs
- 3840x2160 Resolution at 31.5"
- MVA Panel (3000:1) 10-Bit color
- Height adjust, Pivot, Tilt , Swivel, Speakers and a USB Hub.
- WLED backlight
- 4ms response time

The LG 27UD68-P http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-27UD68P
- 3840x2160 Resolution at 27"
- IPS Panel (1000:1) 10-Bit color
- Height adjust, Pivot, Tilt and Speakers.
- Edge-lit backlight
- Freesync support (40Hz-60Hz)
- 5ms response time

Both come in at €449,-

Now I like the stand of the AOC more the bezel's of the LG one are godlike and I already have 2 other LG monitors with the same design (not same monitor)
I'm currently running one 29" ultrawide and a 21.5" Monitor and the third monitor is very old and is getting replaced with a 4K one and I am concerned with the size.
Is the AOC to big? (31.5") Are VA panels better than IPS? And the backlight difference, I do not know anything about can somebody please explain?.

Overal winner in your opinion?

Thanks,

For Human's naked eye, MVA panels are better, because they enhance the contrast and black levels. The IPS panel provides slightly better colour accuracy, and viewing angles. 31.5" is on the edge of 'too big,' but it looks more immersive if you pair it with a powerful GPU.
There is nothing better than the others, every panel has its pros and cons depending on the usage. Without getting into details, let's just say that the backlight difference is what provides the pros to each monitor.
Overall winner is the AOC, IMHO.
