hi folks.
I have a CPU (e8400) and it's motherboard, and i want to upgrade.
the cpu is very good and i am happy with it but the problem is in the PCI-e.
my current motherboard have the first generation of PCI-e and it is causing bottleneck to the gpu.
so can someone give me a good lga 775 motherboard that supports PCI-e 2.0.
also i thought about upgrading to i3 cpu and buy the motherboard for it, what do you think guys ?
thanks for helping in advance :) .

Solution
I question the premise that your PCI-E speed is the bottleneck. If you have a GPU that is powerful enough to bottleneck a PCI-E 1.0 x16 slot, then it is definitely being bottlenecked by your CPU. It is extremely rare for PCI-E generation to have any noticeable performance impact.

I would definitely look into upgrading your CPU.

As he said, if your GPU is powerful enough to fill up the the slot, you need a new CPU.
You need a new CPU anyway, because that one is so old, it has terrible single-core performance.
If you're using DDR3, which I doubt you are, get a H81 motherboard, with an i3, it will perform much better..
