Choosing between Acer Predator XB271HU bmiprz and Acer Predator XB271HK bmiprz which one to buy?

nvincent_08

Reputable
depends on your need, i personally preffer the XB271HU, because it has higher refresh rate, especially it would be great if you use it for mostly gaming. but if you like to have sharper images quality and want more workspace, then the XB271HK is better. but overall if you use it for other things such as watching video 1440p is enough or even more than enough depending on your needs

Never used a 4k or 2k monitor, or with g-sync or with high refresh rate like 120hz

G sync and high refresh rate r worth it. especially with a GTX 1080. but not a 4k 60hz even though the 1080 can only give so much so frames @ 4k. my 4k experience is in TV. tried a FHD content and it wasnt good. so a 2k ips 144hz G sync sound like the right match if its a single monitor setup. if u can go for 2 monitors, the choice is urs. i have said my opinion ;)

i watched some videos on youtube and most of them say if you are content creator, or editor, or just watching photos and movies, and if going to play very graphical looking games 4k 60hz monitor is better than 1440p 144hz but if you play games which are fast paced like cs:go where graphics are not that super good looking is better to opt for higher refresh rate monitor like 1440p 144hz, and thus predator XB271HU bmiprz has what i need, ips panel, high refresh rate, g-sync, high adjustment, bigger res... some say Acer Predator XB271HU is the best gaming monitor, dunno but i like its aggressive looks. Will be buying next month, cuz my wallet will cry if i buy it this month :D

the only games that prefer res is open world games like witcher 3, skyrim, etc. even then, u have all these eye candy effects and motion blur for realistic scenes where that high fps will make it look super good. shooting and racing games will need high fps.
as for content creation. no doubt there. res and color accuracy. but gaming? 1440p 144hz it is.

Also my brother is using my older pc parts like fx8350 and r9 290x is enough for him because he is older and only play league but he has my old monitor which is benq g922hdl (720p, tn panel, 18.6" ), and thus i want to give him my ''acer h236hl bid'' (1080p,23.6", ips) monitor which i currently have :)
