Hello everyone, let me start by saying this is the first time I am buying a monitor. (the previous one was bought many years ago not by me.) I am currently on a tight budget the max i can spend is 300ish euro.

My current monitor: LG-W2363V

What i want the monitor for?
I want it for gaming and productivity (its hard to work on UE4 with only one 24 inch monitor).

Things that matter for me....
-I care for good image quality (not perfect - just because i like it not for professional reasons 😛 )
-I care for good blacks and whites (contrast)
-I can live with not so good viewing angles
-I am worried about the IPS Glow i dont think i can live with that if its too much

(i always play and work with room lights on never on dark environment)
I am between these two monitors:
Samsung C24FG70 330,00 €

LG 29UM69G-B 278,00 €

I am leaning more towards the samsung one as i think its far superior due to the 144hz, 1ms response, not having the IPS glow problem and been brighter. But the lg one is ultrawide which would help me alot and if i buy the samsung one i may need a second one in the near future.

I watched this Video and i was impressed whats your ideas guys ?

1440p/144 ips is out of the budget seeing as the cheapest is €620.

I find working in ue and other 3d work to be better with multiple monitors as you tend to have multiple windows open. Having a bigger single monitor is nice for gaming immersion although personal preference comes into play for size as it can be too big. You'd want 144hz if you play any fast paced games, otherwise it's quite a cost increase.

The best 1440p va so far are the hp omen 32 (75hz, €400), samsung s32 (8 bit+frc, 60hz, €480), BenQ BL3200PT (€480, same panel as the s32). These are fast enough for gaming at 60hz (75hz for the omen) yet offer higher end 8 bit panels for wider color gamut (except the omen). Unfortunately these are 32" which to some will be too big...
IPS is on a whole other level when it comes to image quality and IPS glow thing is overblown non-issue really, especially if you play in room with lights on, which guarantees you will never see any glow.

That said I would not take that LG, 6bit dithering color and refresh rate that makes Freesync somewhat pointless. Looks like some budget IPS panel to me and that's pretty much counter-productive to what I said in first sentence.

Honestly, if you are in for purchasing monitor - I suggest to invest into it, because you gotta realize you will be using it for many years, while GPUs and such will come and go, in the end that's the thing you see image on and it won't be going anywhere next 4 years or so, so it makes sense to invest.

And when I mean invest it is about ~500 range for 27inch 1440p IPS Freesync 144Hz monitor - that thing will last you for years, though it will lock you to AMD.

Ips is not on a whole different level. Many put va above ips for image quality. Pro monitors are ips because the top of the line ips can get better accuracy and gamut but elsewhere ips is matched in color by va and even tn on budget ips. Ips generalizations have not held for many years now. For the best 1080p/144 monitor, the cfg70 would be my top pick. Unfortunately there is no 1440p/144 va monitor out yet but samsung has been a proponent of va and auo is expected to release one this year.

What monitors do you suggest around 500euro and do you think i should look for ?
144hz ?
go to bigger size and resolution 27? or multimonitor 24 inch 1080p

Forget about the 144hz what do you suggest i should do? Any good monitor suggestions under 500 for a multimonitor set up?
Should i even care for 144hz?

Thank you both for your quick replays.

Unfortunately these are 32" which to some will be too big but it's the same dpi as 24" 1080p. They are also getting near the top of your budget. For 1080p, I'd stick with the c24fg70 (8 bit too).

There are 1440p 27" but will be ips like PB278QR for €350 (similar color gamut but again nowhere near as good black levels as va). Looking around some more I found Samsung C27H711, 27" 1440p va monitor which is similarly good to the other quantum dot va panels from samsung but it's €495. I probably need to look more but this is time consuming. I'd also have to look more into ultrawide for more options there as anything good that I know of is more top of the line and out of your budget. But I think they will be more of what you already found, 2560x1080, 6 bit+frc, ips which won't be as good color.
