After recently reading this article on PC Gamer
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-best-gaming-monitors/#page-4

I'm torn between their recommendation of the ViewSonic VX2263SMHL-W
http://www.viewsonic.com/us/monitors/entertainment-vx-series/vx2263smhl-w.html

Or my original choice of the AOC i2267FWH
http://aoc-europe.com/en/products/i2267fwh?lang=en

Both are 1080p @60Hz, 5ms, 178/178 viewing angles, HDMI port. I don't play FPS so 5ms IPS is my preference and I'm not interested in other suggestions unless they fall within the same price range. Anyone have experience of the Viewsonic or AOC monitor?

Thanks

BenQ GL2460HM GL2460HM Black 24" 2ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor TN Panel 250 cd/m2 DC 12,000,000:1 (1000:1) @ $149.99 Sure you can use an IPS monitor for Gaming they have improved greatly but, a TN is still better.

The only reason PC Gamer chose that particular monitor is for value, not quality alone and for just £10- £20 more you can get a real nice Asus or BenQ (my top 2 choices in monitors) 22"-24" TN monitor with better specs.

So, I guess the real question is how much is £10- £20 worth to you?
And if you are in the UK don't just shop at Amazon try some of these sites as well:

I read your post thoroughly and if that's your final decision ("I don't want a 2ms TN panel under any circumstances") you've been misled or at the very least you misunderstood the the article in PC Gamer.

Thanks for your opinion but I can't stand TN, I won't always be able to sit right in front of it and you can't seriously be telling me they've improved viewing angles on all the but most expensive of TN panels. Budget TN vs Budget IPS.....IPS wins for me. I don't want to spend more money getting features like 2ms GTG that I don't need in a TN panel. Would rather put that money towards a better IPS.

Thanks for opinions :)
