Thanks in advance for your help.

Need GPU buying advice (2 options) for requirements:
1) large raw photo (upto 150 MB) editing, processing - incl de-duplication, Facial Recognition etc
2) full HD family/holiday video editing (couple of times a year)
3) no upgrade partcularly - GPU for 3 years
4) no gaming

How much VRAM is needed? minimum 2GB?
How much is ideal (a) for photo editing (b) video editing as some AMD card comes with 8GB VRAM

Does buying more VRAM helps or gets wasted/unused?

Software - About to buy Lightroom 6 (supports GPU acceleration) for images and open to suggestions for video (free/paid)

Current build - 4670K, Z87MX-D3H, 16 GB DDR3 2400MHz, 840 EVO 250GB, WD Black 2TB, RM650 80+ Gold 650W in aïr cooled BitFenix Prodigy Micro ATX (can take 320 mm long GPU)

Monitor: LG 27MB85Z-B 27" ColourPrime Pro (2560 x 1440) ...may add second 27" monitor

As per Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq....:
AMD: R9 series - 270 thru 290
NVIDIA: GTX 760+ line (760, 770, 780, ...) or GTX 900 series

As GPU reviews are for gaming mainly, not able to decide - how much GPU power and VRAM is needed? ideal? good to have? plenty? for NOW and to future proof for 3 years?

Are AMD more power hungry than NVIDIA?
Does Adobe software favour NVIDIA? e.g. CUDA only support historically or its a thing of past?
MSI twin frozr appear to be more popular than others?
Longer 3xFan Gigabyte GPU may not fit into my case

Preferred website to buy: amazon UK or EU
Budget: Ideally under 200 GBP but can stretch upto 250 GBP for best option

Suggestions for photo de-duplication software will be much appreciated too
