I am pretty new to Linux and I have just built my pc. It has Mint on a 250GB SSD and also has a brand new blank oem 1TB HDD that I am using for storage. I am trying to download steam on to the hdd but cannot find a way to change the download's path. I want to put steam and all of my games on the hdd. I am using Firefox if that matters. I really dont know how to access the hdd and put files on it. I've looked it up but so far nothing has been helpful, maybe I am missing something obvious.

Thanks-

I don't know what directory it wants to install into, but lets say it is /usr/stream You could create /usr/stream to be a link to /usr2/stream (your HDD) ...

Thanks for your reply. Im sorry but I don't really understand what you mean. I can make firefox put the install package on my hdd, but when I install the program it goes to my SSD without ever giving me the opportunity to choose which I do not want.
What I need to know is how to install a program from the internet (in this case Steam) to my non OS HDD which I have mounted and partitioned.
