hi guys. im planning my first AMD build since the Barton era and i need your help.
my existing components are 64GB DDR4 3600Mhz RAM and an RTX3080
im going to order a 5900x.
i have to choose between ASUS ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING or ASUS PRIME X570-PRO
it is strictly between these two boards since i want a white themed build
can i save some cash ang get the B550 or do i need the X570??
the pc is used for streaming and gaming and the cpu will probably not be overclocked.

I' go with the B550. The only reason for an X570 is if you have need of more than normal number of PCIe gen 4 lanes which the b550 has enough of for most any normal use...your system NVME and your GPU.

The B550 also has a better VRM for power delivery with 12 x 50A power stages vs 5 x 40A ones on the X570 board.
