On January 2014 I built a computer as cheap as possible, with the intention of upgrading it whenever I had the means to. I have them now, so I'm looking for advice on which card I ought to buy. I know it's very likely I'll also have to upgrade the casing, the power source, the cooling..., so if I do have to, I'd like to ask you for advice on that, too.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: the closer the better, but I don't mind waiting one or two months
BUDGET RANGE: €500

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming (Dishonored 2 when it comes out, Bioshock Infinite, The Evil Within, AC Unity, etc.) and home theater/watching movies

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: No GPU right now, and a 500W power source

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS:
- Processor: AMD A series A10-6800K
- Motherboard: ASUS A55BM-E
- Memory: G.Skill F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL
- Cooling: Whatever came with the other parts / None
- Power source: just the 500W source that came with the cheap ATX case I bought (Unyka 51938

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: http://www.pccomponentes.com/ or http://www.amazon.es/
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Spain

PARTS PREFERENCES: I really don't care either way, though I've read current AMD cards are more compatible with DirectX 12 than current Nvidia ones

OVERCLOCKING: No
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1600x900, but I want to connect this PC to my 1080p TV from time to time

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I'd be cool if it was as compatible as possible with DirectX 12, and if I could play current games with their highest settings, that would be amazing

Thanks a lot for helping! :)

it is the heart of your pc, cheaping out on this can cause instability or it could simply blow up and take your hard earned components with it.

with that cpu, max I would drop into it would be a gtx 960 / r9 280.

along with a good tier 1 or 2 power supply from this list in 550w

The case looks fine, it's not a top-of-the-line part but it looks OK to me, I can see no reason to change it.

It will be a VERY good idea to replace the power supply! Look for a 600-650Watt unit from XFX (Pro Edition), Seasonic, Silverstone, Antec, Corsair (try to avoid the 'CX and VS parts) or Enermax. This would fit the bill nicely;http://www.pccomponentes.com/antec_vpf_650_ec_650w_80_plus_bronze.html or a little less output for a little less money: http://www.pccomponentes.com/enermax_maxpro_600w.html

There's no info on the case but it looks as if it will support at least one 120mm fan in the front and one in the rear. Cheap case fans are usually poor performing and often noisy, try adding a high static pressure fan like the Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition (the 1450 RPM version) in the front and a Corsair AF120 (1600 RPM version) in the rear, connect them to the motherboard system fan headers and set their speed through BIOS.

Those PSU aren't enough to run AMD GPU.
Your CPU is slow, so install game & windows file in SSD.
Since you prefer new AMD GPU, i choose R9 380, otherwise i will go with R9 280X [older model, but at same price].
Your current Case doesn't have enough airflow, so i include a new case. When buying Casing, buy 3 more 120mm fans to include in casing.

Is there any reason I should by such a high-quality power source? What do you think of these tweaks?
