So i searched a bit and decided to get a MSI gtx970, ofcourse 450$ is a lot so i wanted to ask you guys what you think. Here is what i want, basicly i want a card that is good enough to keep me at a decent framerate for 3-4 years (1920x1080 res only). And from what i saw from the benchmarks this card is the best value for t he money you give. So what are you guys suggesting? :)

Solution
PSU quality is what matters. Your is average and not great. For it being, i'm guessing, 4 years old, I would replace it with a quality 650w unit.

PCI 2.0 will be no issue.

I would get the gtx970 as the GPU upgrade for sure.

A coolermaster 850w silent pro. Also should i go for it or get something cheaper from ATI, or even wait for the new stuff from ATI?

As long as i dont need to change the PSU, i am fine. Also what more does a PSU need, i thought that it was a pretty good one. Also my MOBO is p6t7 ws supercomputer it has PCI 2.0 but i think its compatible correct? Well i can get the 450 for it but the problem is if anything happens to my pc for the next 1-2 years i wont be able to spend a lot for it.(spend another 500 for example) but as long as my PC runs fine i dont mind spending that 450. Also i dont that my CPU is going to drag me down that match in gaming.

Exactly my PC is a bit more than 4 years old. Well as long as the PSU is fine i wont change it for now, i will look into it on the future(its not that expensive anyway). Nice i am glad that 2.0 aint gonna be a problem, i will get gtx 970 and hope that nothing from pc breaks on those 2 or more years :D

Thanks for the help :)

Wait, what is the danger of not changing it, you scare me? Damn if you add those 70 the price jumps on 500++

I might do it some months after buying the new card. Damn the psu complicates things now. Also i know what you are saying, i believe it happened on my last PC(more than 4 years old) but i doubt that anything else was damaged. But my even older pc runs fine after more than 10 years, so i guess luck plays a big role too :/
