Hello guys i want to buy a new router and i want one that have the ability to share bandwidth..i mean to set a limit to wifi speed. Do u have any to suggest? imlooking around 50-80 euros

Solution
That is limiting the internet speed not the wireless..indirectly it does limit wireless users.

The setup is not done via interface it is done via ip or mac address. But you can match a IP and then limit it to 5m or you can get a group of ip and limit the group to 5m.

But you are back to the second part of my first post, find a router that you can load dd-wrt firmware on. The factory firmware is very limited in ability to limit traffic.
It will be close to impossible to limit wireless speed itself. If you mean to share a internet connection that can be done with QoS setting. Wireless by its design is not really possible to really define sharing. It is a half duplex protocol and everyone just tries to get as much bandwidth as they can.

In any case your best bet is to find a router that you can load dd-wrt on. Third party firmware has many more options than factory firmware. It really depends on what you want but if it can be done it will be dd-wrt that can do it. Get the fastest cpu and as much memory on the router as you can within your budget so you can take advantage of the most options in dd-wrt

You can limit the overall internet speed in your router. Traffic Shaping.
Ex: you get 50 Mbps from your ISP but you can limit it to 10 Mbps in your router so all the users will get only 10 Mbps,

By the way you can use QoS it will give more priority to the users according to their usage.
Ex: you can set users more bandwidth for those who watch videos & less bandwidth for emails.

Well i have 15 mbps Connection im connected with Ethernet in my PC and the others in my house are watching videos at hd and im lagging (ms lag) so i ve read at some forums that i can get a router that can provide me the Share bandwidth...i mean to set at ethernet 10 mbps and let the 5 mbps at wifi speed..is this bullshit or true?
