Question Choosing "Shutdown" restarts the computer ?

Why does the "Shut Down" option from Start Menu restart my computer?

The "Restart" option works as it should.

I disabled Fast Start, and it now shuts down, but is it what fast start means? I thought fast start means it will memorise setting or store image and then when started it would load it quick. I didnt think it meant it will restart itself. Why was it restarting and do I need Fast Start? Thank you.

Fast startup causes more issues than it helps anything, NVME and even SATA drives boot up quickly enough without it. That was your issue, some systems just don't like it.

And good for you, you've resolved the issue. You're not missing out of anything. On the contrary, you now have a more functional system.
