Hello,
I'm looking for a cost-effective way to host Adguard Home and Home Assistant OS 24/7 with minimal CPU usage. I'm considering these options:
  • Raspberry Pi 5
  • Mini PC (like HP ProDesk 600 G1 Mini)
  • A more powerful workstation
I'm not sure if a mini-PC can handle the 24/7 workload, so I'm also considering a more powerful workstation. Which option would be the best choice for my needs?

The new Raspberry Pi 5 price will be nearly the same as used Mini PC. So, the price is not a factor in my comparison.

What system specs are recommended by Adguard Home and Home Assistant OS 24/7?

Quantify "minimal CPU usage": what CPU use % is minimal?

Define "cost-effective way": what is your budget? (Not the same as price comparison.)

You mentioned Raspberry Pi 5: that implies a willingness and ability to build your own hosting system - correct?
