Choosing the right Motherboard

Hello,
I'm looking to build a computer with an E6600. I’ve been researching and I’m still not too sure what I want to put into the computer. I have a list and I’m wondering if you guys can guide me in the right direction. I have a budget for this computer nothing above $600. I already have the case and the processor all I need now is help choosing which brands to put into the computer. Also, I’m not too sure on a PSU. Thanks for the help!

I'm building a new computer also. I'm pretty much using the same components that you have listed, only I'm going w/ the Platinum board. A lot of people here will slam the MSI boards because of the past performances, but the reviews I've seen on MSI 650i boards have been good. MSI is supposed to run cooler or the north bridge. I liked that. I don't want to have to get into special heat sinks. It is said to overclock fairly well but not as good as Gigabyte or Asus. P6n boards are reportedly very stable and make for an easy install. Go to MSI web page, in their forums, most people sound pretty happy.

I was planning on purchasing the MSI board too, but at the last second, I ordered the DFI P965-S MB instead. Only time will tell if the extra $25 gave me anything more than the MSI board would have given me.

I think the MSI board is a very good buy right now and I've always had pretty good luck with their boards.
