Im in srilanka and I have 230V coming to my home...I have planned to buy a PSU of 500W and confused to choose the right one that falls into the above criteria. All the labels of the PSU i have seen in amazon states 100-240V~50-60Hz. what does that even mean?

Please send me some of the links of those PSU that suits in my country....

This relates to the input voltage rating from your wall socket, which can vary from country to country.

In this case a PSU that states it is "100-240V~50-60Hz" should have something called Active Power Factor Correction (PFC). Which means that it can automatically adjust between the voltages listed. So if your country is at or between those ratings, it's safe to use.

It's essentially a good way for PSU manufactures to universally sell their PSU's across many countries.
