choppy gameplay dx11 Splinter cell blacklist

I've experienced extremely choppy game play whilst playing splinter cell blacklist and a bit on assassins creed but I'm not 100% sure with AC there aren't any settings to change DX11. When DX11 turned on and with all the settings maxed out (on splinter cell) and with setting on low, on different resolutions ect. when its set on DX9 its running smooth with everything maxed out. I've overclocked my graphics card, ram and processor but have set them all back to standard settings and it doesn't make a difference. I've tried a lot of things to resolve this and it just doesn't seem to run smooth, even thought my geforce experience has optimised the settings for DX11. All my drivers are up to date graphics card and DX11. anyone have any suggestions i would be grateful.

amd 8350 with corsair h100
asus direct Cu2 gtx 680
Kingston hyperx 2 X 4Gbs 2400mhz
Corsair 750w psu

Resolution is 1650 x1050 60 Hertz

Reset cmos and now ram is running at 1333 tested sc and still choppy.

check the monitors refresh rate. guess it's supposed to be 60Hz?


check for game patches.

does CS have high tessellation settings?

Yep my monitor is 60hz refresh rate.

sc has tessellation setting. only on or off.

I've tried the tessellation settings on and off.

also its a ubisoft game so it automatically updates every time you log on.

Yep everything is up to date.

Hey thanks for all you time and help.

i re-installed windows and splinter cell and somehow its all working fine on directx 11.

I've not tried ac3 as of yet but I've got my hopes high.
