Can someone help me.
I'm having issues with a bit of a jittery mouse movement in game.
The game is Rainbow six siege.
The mouse is a Logitech G700s.
I have tried a few things and eliminated a few possible causes.
I have tried a different mouse and the issue is still there so I know it's not the mouse itself. I have messed with the settings (raised and lowered DPI, raised and lowered number or reports per second... this actually improved it slightly but it still present.) I have on and off enhanced pointer and adjusted pointer speed up and down.
I have changed the surface I am using the mouse on multiple times but none seem to make it any better.
The only thing I can possibly think of myself is that my monitor is the issue. It's a AOC 60hz monitor. I'm running a GTX 970 on it and I have turned on Vsync to try fix the issue as well as messing with graphic and mouse settings in game.
Is it possible that the monitor could be the cause? Is the 60hz with a high DPI causing the Choppy movement?
I'm finding it hard to think this is the issue cause when I watch other players with a visibly high DPI their movement is fluid.
I'm ripping my hair out trying to fix this.
Anyone got any suggestions or input?

Rainbow six siege doesnt have any aim assist so would this even be present?

Hey peagasus im having the exact same issue however im finding that its present in all games i play. anyone got any fixes. also did this start happening after the latest nvida driver update for you?

To be honest I haven't played PC in a while. I just started again lately. I was a consistent ARMA player and I never noticed it before however I do remember having a issue with this on battlefield 4 but I never followed it up I just went back to ARMA. I am playing siege now and I find it extremely noticeable.
I asked the question on another post and suggested solutions range from people saying my 60hz monitor is the problem to people telling me another USB device connected is interfering with it.
I'm going to tackle this today and get it sorted if I find the solution I will update here.
I know first hand how frustrating it is so I'll be quick to announce if I find a solution

Actually just to follow up on that I'll give you a list of the solutions given to me. I haven't tried them all but I intend to today. You may get a chance to and one might fix your issue.
•Change the surface your mouse is on to see if it causes a change in the behaviour.
• try a different mouse to see if the issue is still present and that the mouse isn't faulty. ( I have tried this and it was the same with the other mouse but no issue with a Xbox controller.)
•Download logitech G700s control panel software.
• using this you can alter the DPI and report rate. I found that increasing the report rate helped but didn't fully remove the problem
• turn off advanced pointer under control panel> devices> mouse>mouse settings>pointer options
• ( fairly obvious one) give the laser area a good cleaning
• some people have said another USB device may be causing interference, this includes USB hubs that might be built into your case. Remove them all and just plug in your mouse. Then reconnect each USB device one by one to find the device causing the issue.
• someone suggested that my monitor refresh rate was too low for the mouse movements and that was causing the glitchy appearance. I don't think this is right because I have watched other people in game moving around with a visibly high DPI and it is fluid, which was why I began asking here.
Thanks
I'm going to tackle this straight after work today, hopefully we can both get this sorted.

Im glad to hear you found a solution. I am still having the issue.
I went to C:\Users\MYNAME\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege\abab5377-e6e1-44b3-a661-c1fa43db3c7b
In there i have messed with a few settings and eliminated it to a degree but not fully.
I changed the MouseSensetivityMultiplyerUnit as you can see here
https://gyazo.com/7149ed0a8d1541d5e5980aa8c5919de4
and it seems to have lessened the choppy action but it is still there slightly.
Hopefully i can find the issue.
