hi, to be fair I don't know exactly what dlss is but after searching around and playing last of us part 1 , i guess that's a thing makes a game render 720p and upscale it to 1080.
but is that really wont affect the quality? is this a good thing to enable or not?

so what if i pick a better GPU from 30s and dont use Dlss? is the outcome the same? i mean image quality?

for example a 4050 vs 3070 since my display is just a 1080 one? i know 4050 is not out yet but in theory

another question:
which one do you pick if the price is the same.
1- 3070 galax with 2 fan ( not the 3 fan)

i found it in Amazon as well, but i'm not sure about LHR. does it matter in game?

2- 3060 ti with a better brand like asus or msi or whatever?

Upscaling (DLSS) will never be the same quality as native rendering, but it can/will get close enough to be unnoticeable.
As you can imagine, it increases FPS because you're rendering at a lower resolution.

You shouldn't need DLSS if you're using a 3060Ti, 3070 or equivalent at 1080p unless you're enabling ray tracing.

That's pretty much the only reason to enable DLSS (IMO) is if your frame rates are "low" after you've already made it down to medium or medium-high graphics settings.

An RTX4050 is unlikely to outperform an RTX3070.

thanks now it's clear.
and whats your idea about 2nd part of the question?
by the way, the 3070 i mentioned is this card:
would you chose a unknown brand but higher card over a lower GPu but better brand one?

DLSS uses AI to reconstruct the image. It's gotten to a point where you have to really be pixel hunting on fine details to look for any noticeable issues. In some cases though, it can actually look better than native.

If you don't use DLSS, you just lose performance. I'd argue image quality is a non-factor unless you choose something like the DLSS ultra performance preset.

Note that the 40 series has DLSS 3, which is frame generation. Despite it sounding hacky at best, I've used it for a while in Cyberpunk 2077 and I can't really tell a difference with it on or off outside of the frame rate.

LHR is to deter against crypto mining. It doesn't have an effect in games. Otherwise, if you want performance, the 3070 is better.

would you pick 3070 From Galax brand over 60 ti from well known one? like msi or ASus or whatever you think is best. imagine price is equal

upscale is no issue if quality looks fine
1) it looks fine
2) lower power draw if you have capped fps to your refreshrate
if i turn on Vsync, does it render higher?
i mean image i just need 60fps and i use quality settings. does it know since i have 60fps limit, then it can render for example 900p? will it always choose highest resolution?

Galax isn't an "unknown" brand. Just less commonly seen in the USA.

Even the "major" brands make lower end SKUs with junk coolers (in addition to higher end SKUs with overkill coolers). Different buyers have different budgets.
and what would you do? if you had X-€ money?

chosing btw a better model from less known brand or lower end from better brand?

What country are you shopping in?

Regarding the Galax 3070 linked, I don't see any glaring red flags. Looks like a good cooler.

Keep in mind, pretty much the only meaningful difference from brand to brand that you're going to see is the cooler. Nvidia makes the GPU chip and has a comprehensive board design spec requirement that manufacturers can't go below. Aside from the higher echelon cars from manufacturers, most boards end up being the Nvidia reference design.

yea it seems its a big one and almost look like other 3070s with two fan.. like msi ventus. the reason i asked this is ,i never heard of such brand and i thought maby i should worry about it since a friend of mine once bought a Nvidia 740 from biostar almost 10 years ago and it was disaster. lot of crash in games and even warranty was sux. later i saw some other buyers complaining about same issues online about all BioStar gpu. they are also cheap and considerable. i don't know if they still make GPU but i never even look at their motherboard.
anyway, so i thought what if galax is same as BioStar since it's lesser known and i thought maby someone here can verify them or even could give me a review link since i couldn't find anything online but a strange 8min espanish YouTube video that i saw with subtitle. i say strange because that guy tried it in 3 game and two out of three of them was showing 3060 on screen instead of 3070 though the end test was showing 75°C on screen that i think is decent

Galax is more popular overseas. Which does mean that finding [good] reviews of Galax cards is more difficult. Oftentimes manufacturers will use the exact same cooler on a range of GPUs, so you might find something if you search 3060Ti or 3070Ti.

I personally view(ed) Biostar as an OEM supplier that dabbled in some aftermarket offerings. Certainly low-budget target.
Powercolor started out in similar budget target audience. Now they have expanded up to some good SKUs to fill out their lineup.

Not to say that big(ger) companies like MSI (since you mentioned them) don't have issues. Their "Armor" GPUs a few generations back had debilitating card sag issues that sometimes caused them to fail. This (IMO) prompted them to drop the armor naming, supplanted by Ventus (new beginnings!). More recently, their "Evoke" coolers were a hot mess (that was a thermal pad sizing issue)....That being said, their GamingX coolers have consistently been a top-tier performer.
