Question Chrome Browser | Extensions | Not Embedded For Quick Access within the Browser itself?!

Before answer please try up to date browser ... but is it true I have to go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions manually "vs" having a default link in hamburger menu etc to "get" "new chrome extensions?

Why would Chrome Browser itself "NOT" have a embedded link in setting or something in menus anywhere to get a extension for its own tools?

Or am i missing something??

Yes, you need to go to Store, find the app you want added and then add the extension. If you've sync'd your profile on Chrome then the app will be downloaded automatically when the browser has chance to update itself with your credentials.

how can there be a google chrome store ... completely tied into chrome itself and not a direct tool/menu in the browswer itself thus I have to type a url? makes no sense
