[SOLVED] Chrome - old deleted downloads keep reappearing

After I've deleting my downloaded my Chrome downloads, they reappear when I open Chrome. I don't want that extra space taken up on my drive. Is there any way to fix this problem. I already tried Googling it. Couldn't narrow down the search to find a fix. Any solutions appreciated.

Are your deleting the entry from Chrome or deleting the file in the Chrome download folder?
Ideally you need to do both. Deleting it from the Chrome Downloads list screen doesn't delete the actual file and deleting the file doesn't remove the entry from chrome (but it will list it with a strikethru on it and say deleted)
