Hello

Can someone give me the short version of what exactly it means when chrome tells you this stuff?
Yeah - I get the part about changing your password... but the Data Breach part?

Does this mean Kaspersky or AVG or someone gave them a list of hacks and all the data accessed and that's how they know?
It would really help if they would explain these things in simple english so you know just how worried you should be?

Here's a picture for context

Thank you for your help

Cheers

Solution
A data breach in more broad terms simply means someone hacked into the company's database and pulled data from it. What this data is exactly is up to the company for disclosure, which they should be transparent about it if they want to stay on people's good side.

However, the safe assumption is that data containing login information was included. So you should change the password on the website that got breached.
