So I'm undertaking my first custom loop, and yes this probably shouldnt be the choice tubing used as a first time but I honestly dont care, I'm set on this project and I wont be stopping it anytime soon.

My questions are:
1) Cons/Pros of Copper tubing in a PC loop.

2) Cons/Pros of chrome plating the copper tubing in a PC loop.

3) Are there any pre-chromed tubing options I can buy and bend? If so links, I cant find any.

4) If I use copper tubing are there any biocides/anti oxidizing fluids I should add to my distilled water.

5) do ANY of you on tomshardware have experience with using chrome plated copper tubing in a custom build? and what are your personal opinions and on a scale of 1-10 would you use it again in a proper build?

for the first time builder, you better start with flex tubing.

There is not much difference between copper and nickel plated tubes from functional point of view. main would be that plated is more safe from corrosion and better protected from reaction due to mixing metals.

Alphacool offers plated copper tubing.

regardless of the tubing type, if you use distilled water, you'd be better using some kind of biocide. mayhems have very nice one.

regarding use: metals are not simple to work with. I wouldn't do it. My pick is glass tubing.

Sadly glass/petg/acrlyic just dont work for my build, its all black with carbon/silver/chrome accents, so just some random clear tubing stands out like a soar thumb and sadly white does as well too, Chrome has been the main idea but no one seems to have solid answers.

Also I can't find a single link related to the alphacool tubing.
