Question Chrome - Remove Site Information bar from shortcut?

I have created a shortcut on my desktop using the Chrome "Create shortcut" option.

When I use that shortcut, it opens the URL in a window that has a site information bar at the top, showing the URL and whether the site is secure or insecure.

This becomes a problem when I maximize the window. The site information bar doesn't go away, and the window maximizes underneath it.

Does anyone know if there is a way to make that bar not open when I use the shortcut?

I found a workaround that is opening the shortcut in its own window without the information bar. After creating the shortcut, then I go into the properties of the shortcut and add the command line parameter:
--app=http://abcd.com (where abcd.com is the address of the website)
