Hello,

New to the forums but a little while back I got a New PC Dell OptiPlex 5040 workstation. When I first got it Chrome would not work at all. I kept getting the same error message about DNS not found. I reinstalled it and eventually gave up after trying so many different things. I was on a wireless connection but recently switch to wired. Now there is a new version of chrome and I was able to get google.com and google earth to load; however, most other sites I get the same error. This is a fresh install of chrome on a well maintained PC but this has been happening since day one. Any suggestions on what to try next? I've tried safe mode but I don't know what else to do.

When you switched from wireless to wired did you disable the wireless adapter? Only one network adapter should be enabled - not both. (Excluding the need for bridging).

What DNS are you using? Are you able to run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" (no quotes) via the command prompt?

As for Chrome, you may need to try another fresh download and reinstall again.
