Chromebook Problems and Odd Screen (odd screen for windows 8)

So, my Chromebook is a school Chromebook that doesn't lag often. Very recently my Chromebook decided to somewhat black screen for a few seconds. This same day, earlier my Windows 8 got a black screen too. They were both for a few seconds. I had a whole lot of tabs up so that could be it but I honestly have no clue. My Windows 8 keeps giving me weird screens and a blue screen. I fixed the bsod but not the screens. Black screen, odd popup saying the process could not be done, and the bsod also shows up a few times too. Explain how to fix any of these please!!

For the chromebook it could be that you have too many programs running at once. As it has limited memory, it will switch off and then on again. Try getting rid of some programs or running fewer in one shot. If this doesn't work, then try powerwashing it. This worked for me. For windows 8, it could be a driver issue.

Thanks so much! I'll go ahead and check the drivers and stop running many programs at once. I hope the windows 8 problem gets fixed. I will see what I can do.
