Question Chromebook touchpad suddenly works only sideways?

A week ago I bought a Chromebook (Lenovo IdeaPad 3 CB-11IGL05) and everything was going well, but today I opened it up and to my suprise the cursor was working only sideways. After a lot of playing around with it I have found out a couple of things: 1. If you really try moving you finger up and down a lot it will move a distance of about 1/5 of the screen's height up or down, 2. For some reason it looks like it moves more when I hold down on the mousepad and move it up and down at the same time. Really hope that someone can help me here as the laptop has no warranty and don't really wanna use too much money to fix it. Thanks in advance!
