I'm,right now using "cipher" CMD command to erase data on 8gb USB flashdrive.Tool "cipher" writes random data on whatever external unit to be erased completely and make it irrecoverable. So that's why I'm using it to erase data on my USB stick forever with unrecoverable state.I have used this command and it's working:

cipher /W:<Drive Letter,which has to be erased>

But I'm observing that my C: drive (where wnidows files and other downloaded contents is present) space is getting low as cipher loading dots (like loading bar at initializing stage) are increase from left to right as the time passes. What's happening here why C: drive capacity storage is getting low as cipher loading (progress of removing data) is increasing.

Thanks for considering.
