Is there a magical +skill circlet out there that is socketed?
pref +sorc skills or +fire

The affix for sockets is a prefix as is the affix for +skill trees, so
the only possibility to get a socketed item with +skill trees is
either a rare one or one you ask Larzuk to stamp holes in.

No.

Once an item is socketed it cannot be resocketed and sockets cannot be
added to it.

The number of sockets depends on where you found the item, what type
of item it is, and for magic items on Larzuk's mood. Using the quest
reward can give you two sockets in circlets and tiaras.

But what does the following Cube recipe do to a rare which has already
been 'handled' by Larzuk and has got one hole in it already:

3 Perfect Skulls + 1 Rare Item + Stone of Jordan = Add 1 Socket To a Rare
Item

Rare Items can only have two sockets. You cannot add sockets to items that
don't normally have sockets.

It does nothing as an already socketed item can't go through the
process again.

pretty useless if you ask me then to have that cube recipe if you
can't add 1 more socket with it

pretty sure you can in fact add one more socket to a rare item with one
socket already in it.. thats what the decsription implies at least.. if
someone has actually done it and im wrong.. well sorry
