CIS 120 Research Paper

Hi fellow members, I am writing my research paper for CIS 120 about gpu's and videocards. I want to write about their history, technology and how they influence today's world. Problem is that wikipedia is not a valid source, and google just wants to sell me a video card lol. Can you please give me some valid sources that talk about gpu's and videocards. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

PS: Bonus if you guys can give me sources that talk about how the gpu might replace the cpu.

Just because you can't use Wikipedia doesn't mean you can't use the sources listed at the end of each Wikipedia article.
