In 2015 Jporter99 (with this thread title) asked "At work we have Cisco SPA508G IP phones, I would prefer a headset for work and already have work issued headsets with dual 3.5mm jacks.
Can i buy an adapter thats just dual 3.5 jacks to single 2.5mm male such as this headset buddy one or will that not work?

To which someone replied "yeah, should work".

I've got the foot off the back of my spa508g and I count 4 RJ connectors, nothing round in 2.5 or 3.5mm, no round connector. I can't find 2.5mm or PC (two connector) to rj22 (where the handset plugs into the phone) adapters that mention the 508g. But I ordered one on impulse and there's no sound in or out from a test call to my mobile. The 4 RJ connectors are: the rj22 (small 4 pin) that the handset plugs in to, "SW" that goes to the wall, "PC" that actually does go to a winbox, and (normally hidden by the foot) an RJ plug labeled "AUX". Any ideas on an adapter that will let me use one of the drawer full of wired headsets that I have with this Cisco phone?

Solution
Should be to the left of where the handset plugs in if you are looking at the backside
