I recommend Civ 3 Conquests. Lots of excellent scenarios which are like mini
games, only taking a few hours each, with lots of new tech trees and
resources.
In Civ 3 the main improvements are the new resource tiles which you have to
link to your capital with roads to benefit from. Warring over these luxury
and strategic resources is tremendous fun!
You can buy a cheap Civ 3 Conquests pack at Amazon Marketplace. Around £10.
Trust me, you will never play Civ 2 again. And the days will slip by in a
smiling haze!
