civ3 mp3's

A friend gave me civ3 and after installing and playing a few games I've found there are no sound files in the dip folder, I get a
load error saying unable to load an mp3 anyone know where I can get the mp3's from, I've put in an error form on the civ3 website
but have had no reply as yet, thanks.

Just reinstall it and it will be fine.

Tried reinstalling several times, that folder's empty after each install.

What version/language of civ3?
Have you applied the proper patch?
Exactly which folder are you looking at?
Are there similar empty folders?
You imply several games were succesfully played before the problem appeared.
Comment please.

USA disk, version 1.00, I've played games when I kill an opponant, if they want peace the error message comes up, I've informed
ATARI/FIRAXIS even sent a save, waitingon a reply

I don't know how much support they are giving it anymore. There are no
version 1.00 that is up to date. The basic Civ3 needs to be patched to 1.29.
Patching may or may not fix it. Alternatively, check the technical and/or
bug forums at www.civfanatics.com
