i don't know where you would ever find CL2 @ 800mhz memory, but the lower the CAS latency (CL), the faster it will "refresh" its banks..


btw, isn't there a sticky that says you must search the forums before asking a repetitive question? i mean, this has been asked how many times now :heink:

The DDR2 800 CL2 memory was Apacer.

Same price as Kingston DDR2 800 CL5.

it explains quite a bit about memory and how latencies are calculated.

In short, I dont think you going to see a single difference between CL2 or CL5. I would just get some memory that will run 1:1 with your FSB from a respectable brand. Look for memory that uses micro IC's instead of promo.
