Hi everybody!

I'm about to buy 2x2 gb cl10 kingston RAM. Currently I have 2x2 gb cl9 kinston kit working in dual channel. My only question is, that the new cl10 kit will work together with the cl9 kit without any problem? Or do I need to buy the exactly same kit, that I already have?

thank for the help in advance! And sorry for my english :)

Solution
While most memory is backwards compatible with looser/slower speed bins, it is rarely ever forwards compatible with tighter/faster bins. If a module is marketed as CL10, running it at CL9 may introduce instability. Instead, you must run the CL9 module at CL10 as this should be compatible.
While it is always recommended to buy matching ram, if you dont you definitely should match the speeds and latency yourself., you might simply just change the cas latency of the cas10 ram down to cas9 in your BIOS/UEFI.
