Clans Don't Like Good Opposition?

Three times now I have been banned for what I can only describe as doing too
well against a clan. The last time I was banned I ran out of the opponent's
base with the flag and meleed a sniper. As I was exiting the portal I got a
message that the admin had banned me from the server. My brother was in the
same game as I so I asked him to send a message asking why I was banned. The
answer was "TKing a clan member". That was impossible because I was playing
AGAINST the clan. When my bro sent another message stating that fact he got
no reply. This only leads me to believe that some clans can't stand good
opposition.

That may be true in some cases. I haven't met too many like that. However
some have rules about camping that are nearly impossible to stay clean from.
Some servers have language rules. And some have TK rules. Many get pissed
off if you vehicle rape them for a while and ban you for that.

In your case, what may have happened was a TK in a previous game, or,
somebody in the clan was playing on your team without a tag. It often takes
a few minutes for an admin to find a quiet spot to AFK while he runs rcon
and a couple of tries to get it right. So, there may be a minute or two lag
between the clan member saying "hey can you ban xxx?" to the time when the
ban actually happens. By then you may well have forgotten the original
incident.

In general, games that list their web sites are good ones to go to, because
you can go to the site afterwards to plead your case. If you go in with a
good attitude, you'll probably be let back on. If you go in with guns
blazing telling them how wrong you are, they'll save the banlist.txt file
and share it with all their friends. 🙂

If he was that close he sounds like the worst sniper ever :)
