I have tried to send recent photos to a family member and although the photos
are very clear, when i scanned them, the face features didn't come out as clear
as the photos. I used enhanced color, at various dpi's..the most 300 and the
least 100, still not satisfied of outcome. Any clues?

What format are you scanning to?

What scanner/software are you using?

Excessive JPG compression can do that (reduce clarity). Try scanning them
again, and use a higher JPG Quality setting.
