I am upgrading my system and will probably have to reinstall Windows 10 (SSD). I have a ton of games and programs on my HDD. How do I not reinstall all those programs? I know some of them are in the registry, etc...or do I have to just reinstall everything? Its a lot of programs...Will they work if I just link their .exe in the desktop? Or do they have to be reinstalled?

Thanks for the info.

Majority of the programs need to be reinstalled. If you have steam games I believe you can point the steam loader at the folder later and it will see them. I have not tested this myself.

Most have registry entires so you cannot just make a new shortcut.
