I have an old laptop (an Asus K43U with 4GB and 320GB hard drive) which I bought in 2010. At first I installed Windows 7, but for about last 5 years it installed only some Linux distros, with combinations of some Ext4 partitions and NTFS partitions, and no longer Windows OS.

My question is: is there an easy and simple way to merge all those partitions back into one partition and install a clean Windows 7 in it?

PS: I already backup up all the data, so there'll be no data loss.

Booting from W7 install media, you'll be presented with a "where do you want to install" screen (i forget exactly how it's labelled).

At that stage, you can delete all partitions and let W7 create the necessary partitions for the install.
