[SOLVED] Clean install Windows 10 won't boot after reboot

Hi,

Just built this PC: https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/mnCWJb

Boots into BIOS fine, no weirdness, temps stable.

Created new USB install media using Microsoft's tool for Windows 10.

Booted off this, all good, go into Windows installer, it detects the NVMe M.2 SSD (it's the only drive connected).

Install Windows on all unallocated space.

Zips through install, no problem, reboots.

Shows Windows logo, does a bunch of stuff, prints Getting ready...

Then nothing.

Black screen, no progress, for hours.

What next to try?

• Have reset BIOS
• Have updated to latest BIOS version
• Have selectively tried with CSM enabled or disabled
• Have tried with Secure Boot enabled or disabled, Windows UEFI or Other OS
• Have tried the Startup Repair, it thinks everything is fine

How do I figure out what is the problem?

Do this again as you first built the system. When it first restarts after loading the files, pull the usb drive.

Try disconnecting and reconnecting monitor.
Try different video output on graphics card.

Usb still connected once system tries to boot from the main drive to continue the install process can confuse the system.
