Hi

I recently brought a second hand Packard Bell iMedia S1850 with the intention of upgrading the ram and installing Windows 10.

It originally had Windows 7 on, all the drivers and software were the originals from Packard Bell.

I went to the Microsoft site and hit upgrade, it downloaded Windows 10 and installed it over the existing Windows 7 and it worked fine, no issues at all.

Then I decided I would prefer a clean install and to also get rid of the Packard Bell hard drive partition.

I downloaded Windows 10 and put it onto a DVD, reformatted the hard drive and went to install it.

During the install, the files copy, it goes through most of the set up and then all of a sudden just a black screen,

I reset it then get a blue screen of death.

I've tried using a genuine Windows 10 disc and the same thing happened.

I even installed Windows 7 and did an update to Windows 10 - same problem.

I've installed Windows 8 and that works fine so it just appears to be a Windows 10 issue.

Just an update to this in case anyone else gets the same issue.

I removed the internal wireless LAN card and Windows 10 now installs just fine.

It's strange that it worked OK the first time with the wireless card installed but not again, probably a driver issue as the card appears to work ok.
