I received a gamecube component cable for my console. However, the input connectors look a bit dirty.
What would be the best method of cleaning them?
Any info would be greatly appreciated or have any experience yourself on cleaning cable inputs!
I'm thinking that alcohol will do the trick. Just use a swab and clean the tips of them and let them dry. Am I correct in this assumption?

Solution
You can use alcohol but you would not want to daub it on, rather use it on a gentle cleaning implement like a glasses cleaning cloth and rub gently. This process will leave it slightly damp not soaking. Then allow it to dry before use.

I'm just double checking to make sure as these are some vintage cables that weren't cheap. I'm not too afraid to go out and buy the necessary equipment I need just to make sure it's done correctly.
I appreciate your reply!
