Hi

I built my computer a month ago and I decided I would clean it now even if it is to soon. Just wanted to ask what is needed to clean it safely without the risk of static, etc. I have a can of compressed air and a paintbrush if the brush is needed. Just wanted to clarify

Thank you

Solution
1) Avoid compressed air unless it's a fluidless type (paintball canister like one) because there might be fluid spray that can short things out. I highly recommend a giotto rocket or similar hand blower
2) Do NOT use a vacuum cleaner within a meter of your computer
3) You probably won't need a brush, the rocket is good enough usually.
4) Start with the fans and fan grills, and only work in after that. Most of your dust is going to be behind the fan after all.

cleaning ur system once in 3-12 monthsis important to keep the vents working fine.... depending upon the area and climate u live in....

just unplug the sockets and u r good to go... try not to rotate the graphic card's fan much/for long when using compressed air

1) Don't hold them down, simply stop the rotation by using your nozzle. Pressure is bad for them, so try not to touch them more than necessary (plus your finger grease will ruin the point of cleaning them
2) You shouldn't need to use towels or brushes. If you do use them though, use as light of pressure as possible
