Wondering if there consensus on how to safely clean old thermal paste off of an interposer (R9 Nano/Fury/Vega -- cards with HBM). I've heard the full gamut of advice, from "don't look at it the wrong way (let alone touch it)" to "go ahead and clean it with pretty much anything that isn't made of metal." Thanks so much in advance.

Solution
I like that last one.

Standard thermal paste clean up techniques.

Lint free cloth (though I often just use heavy duty paper towels/blue shop towels/cotton swabs) to get the bulk off.

Isopropyl alcohol to loosen the small stuff, and re-wipe with the above.
