Clear Wireless Service

Solution
No, the problem is that your device uses WiMax, which lost out to 4G LTE, and the infrastructure is being phased out in favor of the more popular LTE. I'm surprised that the change over is occurring so fast, but you will have to move to a 4G LTE hotspot apparently. Your device will have no use when WiMax is gone.

You should be able to use your existing Clear device for quite some time in locations that had pre-existing Clear WiMax service as their infrastructure remains intact. You will just need an account with the new Sprint service as an existing Clear customer. It will be quite a while before Sprint/Clear moves to an all 4G LTE model.

Well I received an email from Clear telling me as of November 2015 no more service it will be turned off. I had hoped Sprint would grandfather us in to a plan with them and that I could continue to use my clearspot mobile wifi unit.
Also is there such a thing as unlocking a mobile wifi when it is tied to a particular service provider?
