Hi I've been thinking to buy an air cooling component for my CPU and almost deciding on Cryorig H5 Ultimate but I am not sure about the clearance for my Vengeance RGB Pro memory sticks, my friend told me that my ram is too high and the cooler might not fit but it is still not sure so I decided to post a thread here.

Additional details: My motherboard is MSI B450 Tomahawk Max. I have 2 rams and I place my ram at A2/B2 but i'm also upgrading/adding up rams for a full 4Slotted memory next month so it would be much better if H5 Ultimate fits even if I have 4 rams mounted.

This is a pic of my current build and on the right is a more clearer image of a vengence pro memory from corsair's website.

In order to properly answer this, we really need to know what your chassis is.
That cooler, like a number of other models, are designed to where the front fan can 'sit' on top of the ram - this of course, raises the cooler's total height proportionate to the memory height.

H5 Ultimate = 160mm: http://www.cryorig.com/h5-ultimate_us.php#spec
Standard height of DDR4 ram = 31mm
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro = 51mm, according to this: https://hexus.net/tech/reviews/ram/...e-rgb-pro-32gb-ddr4-3600-cmw32gx4m4c3600c18w/ (shame that corsair doesn't post it on their own site.)

That means the front fan will need to be raised 20mm, for a total of 180mm. Does your chassis have that much clearance?

If you need to go above the top of the cooling block , yes.
Remember the fan sits a little below the top which is just a cover for the heatpipes.

PcPartPicker lists your mobo as compatible https://pcpartpicker.com/products/motherboard/?compatible_with=jK8H99
This post the user has your mobo & H5 and isn't complaing about it. No photo though. https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=325954.0
I kinda get where you are going with the message but this guy might have H5 UNIVERSAL and not H5 Ultimate. The size may differ in compatibility if I make it to a 4 Slotted memory ram.

Edit: I can buy the H5 Universal but I really like the design for the H5 Ultimate and it suits my build.

Hi, my chasis is Tecware Vision https://www.tecware.co/vision

Do you have any references if what's the cooler gonna look like when I adjust the fan and how?

Tecware Vision: up to 170mm air cooler height
Not going to be compatible - with the fan in the front, from the looks of it. I checked the specs of the H5 Ultimate again, and while it is height adjustable, it has a limit of 168.3mm.

You'll just have to mount the fan behind the heatsink instead, to pull air through.
